Planet Sion is a pristine planet on the frontier of the Absolute Defense Line. It possesses a lush, utopian environment that is suitable for Humans. Due to its beauty and natural bounty, Planet Sion is also referred to as the Sacred Paradise. The planet does not seem to have any indigenous intelligent life although it served as a home to a certain Knight who self-exiled herself there. It was largely left undisturbed by either humans or Beasts owing to its obscure location on the far fringes of the known universe with the exception of Sion Zail's arrival aboard the Mnemeion. Eventually, Planet Sion was discovered by Professor Mio who named it after her friend, Sion.
History[]
In CC 431, shortly after the Third Battle of Tobal, Sion Zail arrived at the planet together with the lifeless body of her lover, Van Nelson, to escape from war-torn Tobal and the hostility against them. Sion was able to travel using the floating fortress Mnemeion; her escape was guaranteed safety by Alternative League President Dry Leonhard in exchange for the Zail code. The planet's tranquility made it the ideal place for Sion, the place she and Van were wishing for - a place with no conflicts. Sion created her own makeshift home and lived on the planet peacefully, far from the chaos happening in the human worlds. Her ultimate fate remains unknown with prevailing speculation that she already died on the planet.
In CC ???, Mio, now an established expert on planetary exploration, environmental renovation and terraforming, discovered the planet along with the remains of Sion's camp and the deactivated ruins of Mnemeion. Mio then christened the planet as "Sion", after its first settler. She then mysteriously disappeared on the planet but her research assistant surmised that the Professor is now reunited with her lost friends. During Mio's brief stay on the planet, the atmosphere was terraformed to be breathable without the need of any assistance. Further developments had been carried out to create a permanent human settlement as per the last wishes of Professor Mio. Mio envisaged the new colony to parallel the town that Sion founded in Tobal after the First Battle of Tobal and where they used to live.
